Spring is almost here

These past days have been quite a handful. I have to sort out the moving, wrap up everything at school and get ready to go to Mexico, also, it snowed again today. So, I wanted this post to help keep my spirit up and hopefully everyone else along with mine. I got a great response on my flower box post last time, and I also got some mails asking me about all the flowers on my balcony. So here they are, this are the flowers currently blooming on my balcony. May everybody get some spring soon!

Bye the way. I think is about time we have another carnival. How about we make one for early April. I think a spring theme will fit. Maybe on about how to get ready for spring, or about what is going to be in your garden this spring? Any other suggestions?

  2. When are you moving to the new place, Fer? And how are you going to get your plants there? will you take them yourself, or are you hiring a Removals Man?

  5. WONDERFUL array of flowers. I love it that you can grow such a variety in such a small space. It reflects your love!

Please visit my "Quiet Morning Walk" posting if you have the chance. It is what is blooming in my tiny California garden right now.

    All joys to you,

  7. March 7 and it is freezing cold. It is not raining or snowing here, but bad weather is all around us. Your lovely flowers do give home that spring here could be on the way. Outside as I check for any signs of green, there are few: green grass beneath the thatch in the lawn, the camomile is poking through, and the iris are starting to green. I'm in for your next carnival. cheers. ann

  8. Great looking flower you have, Fer.

Are you going to Mexico for school break?

I missed your first carnival (even if I said I'd join) because of travels so I'd like to participate in your next one. I can't promise to keep with the theme completely though. No spring time in this two-season country and April will already be mid-summer unless the La Nina phenomenon keeps. Don't worry, if you give me a leeway on this, I will find a way to adjust. :-D

  9. The daisy white with yellow center and the red pom pom flower is so beautiful. Wish i can get my hands on them. Flowers in Japan seem to appear so much cuter.

  10. Beautiful flowers!
I'm getting ready for summer-vegetables like potatoes, tomatoes and so on. And in the head of April in Japan we are looking forward to "Ohanami Party" or a party under the cherry blossoms in full bloom!

  18. How about hepatica? Japanese hybridizers have really been doing great stuff with them. It's small and blooming now here! It would look lovely amonst your treasures. Mexico is perfect now I hear...have a great time.

  20. Nice work there Fer, both with your plants and your photos. Imagine, even in little space you can produce those healthy plants! Rosemary here doesnt produce flowers, maybe they need the cold temperatures, so i just content myself with their scent. So your spring carnival will exclude us with only 2 seasons, haha!

    Have a great holiday.

  25. Hi Fer, I have just heard about the earthquake in Japan, hope you are well.
I am looking forward to new garden carnival and I think your suggested theme would be just fine - "Spring in my garden"...

  26. Your flower photos are very beautiful! I'm so sorry to hear about the massive quake that has just struck Sendai in Japan. Hope Yokohama is far away enough not to be affected. Please take care.

  28. Dear Fer, This is a lovely post! I so hope you are OK!!! I am so sad about what is happening in your adopted country!

  29. Your blooms are so lovely! One would never guess they are growing in pots. That rosemary sure is loaded with blooms. I love it!

I've never participated in one of your carnivals. The first time I read about one, I thought it was something going on in Japan. The next one, I was too scatterbrained, and forgot to do a post for. I hope to be ready for the April one. I have a post I'm working on right now that shows the bit of gardening I was able to do last night.

Again, let us know how you are doing.

  31. Hi Fer,
I have been concerned about all of my garden blogging friends in Japan. I'm thinking of you and sending lots of good thoughts and hope you are not at all involved in this mess...but if you are near the area you very well may be. Not knowing, I will keep you and yours in my prayers.
