Submiting to the carnival, how does it work?

Enter the carnival is very simple, all you have to do is
  1. Prepare a post about the current topic
  2. On the date of the carnival, access mygardeninjapan.com
  3. Once there just enter a link to your post in the widget

Remember, is much better if you place a link on your post back to the carnival, that way everyone can benefit and see all the entries. Also, having a photo on your post is recomended, that way everybody can see more about your post from the start.

Entry dates start when the issue is posted and it will last as long as the post is being featured on the blog (Usually around 5 days or a week).

All bloggers are invited! We are looking forward to see your posts.

Send me a mail if you need more information.

Past carnivals

So far we have only had one other, but here I will put some of the highlights and comments about past carnivals.

The first carnival was "Your favorite plant". It got an amazing response, almost 50 blogs from all around the world participated. Hopefully it will be the first of many.

What is a blog carnival?

A Blog Carnival is a particular kind of blog community event. There are many kinds of blogs, and they contain articles on many kinds of topics. Blog Carnivals typically collect together links pointing to blog articles on a particular topic. It works like a magazine. It has a title, a topic, editors, contributors, and an audience. Editions of the carnival typically come out on a regular basis (e.g. every monday, or on the first of the month, but this vary according to the carnival). Each edition consists of a special blog article that links to all the contributions that have been submitted, often with the editors opinions or remarks.

If there is a carnival for a topic you are interested in, following that carnival is a great way to learn what bloggers are saying about that topic. If you are blogging on that topic, the carnival is the place to share your work with like-minded bloggers.

Blog Carnivals are perfect places to come and find new blogs about topics you are interested in, and also, to submit your blog articles to gain more exposure and readership.
