My tomato harvest

Well, I finished presenting all the plants on my garden, this time I want to continue yesterday's post about the harvest i had this year.

Remember those tomatoes that managed to survive. Here it's how they looked when I got them from the plant.

I took the tomato plant out this weekend, It might not had been the most successful crop, but I had a lot of fun, learned a lot, and I did got some tomatoes out of it.

Just harvested tomatoes

Fresh harvest

I will sure try again next year. And with more than one plant. But, what kind?
Maybe some cherry tomatoes or some big ones.

  1. You might have fun with Black Sea Man tomato. It's an heirloom bush variety, so might be a good option for balcony gardening.

It looks very funny with those unusual colors

  3. Black tomatoes are definitely my favorite. You should check out some "determinate" varieties, though - they get to a certain height and stop, so they tend to be better in pots.

  4. Being that you are working with limited space, cherry tomatoes may be your best choice. Several ideas can be found here:

  5. If you like to make sauce, then you may want to try San Marzano.

  6. Thank You everybody!
I want some cherry tomatoes for sure, but i also want to try some other more exotic variety. They are so many options, the colors like black tomatoes, the shapes like San Marzano, I also saw some little yellow ones this spring. I guess i will have to wait until next season to see what is available.
